Aspire Nautilus GT Kit – Historical Product Overview
The Aspire Nautilus GT Kit represents a significant stage in the evolution of mouth-to-lung vaping hardware. Developed as a collaboration between Aspire and German engineering design influences associated with the Taifun series, this kit combined proven coil technology with a compact single-battery mod, targeting experienced MTL users of its time.
At the core of the kit is the Nautilus GT tank, a pre-built atomiser designed exclusively for restricted airflow vaping. Its construction and airflow philosophy were directly influenced by the Taifun GTR, adapting high-end rebuildable concepts into a factory-coil platform.
While the Nautilus GT Kit is no longer in production, it remains compatible with the widely available Nautilus BVC Coils, which are still supported and sold in our store.
Nautilus GT Tank – Technical Characteristics
The Nautilus GT atomiser utilised bottom-fed airflow designed specifically for mouth-to-lung inhalation. Air was directed from beneath the coil to maintain stable pressure and consistent vapour density. The airflow control ring featured stepped adjustment points, allowing repeatable draw resistance settings.
Filling access was provided via a quick-release top cap system. A short rotational movement unlocked the cap, exposing fill ports for direct refilling. This system was considered practical and mechanically durable during its production period.
- MTL-focused bottom airflow configuration
- Stepped airflow ring for consistent adjustment
- Quick-turn top-fill locking mechanism
- PEI components in the chimney and mouthpiece to reduce heat transfer
Coil Platform
The Nautilus GT relied on Aspire Nautilus BVC coil heads, one of the most widely adopted factory coil systems of its era. These Bottom Vertical Coil units were known for stability, predictable resistance values and extended operational lifespan when used within recommended parameters.
- Nautilus BVC 1.8Ω coil (pre-installed)
- Nautilus BVC Mesh 0.7Ω coil
- Compatibility with higher-resistance Nautilus BVC variants
Aspire Glint Mod – Device Architecture
The Glint Mod supplied with the Nautilus GT Kit was powered by a single external 18650 lithium-ion cell (not included). It provided variable wattage output up to 75 watts, controlled via a three-button interface and displayed on a 0.96-inch OLED screen.
Charging and firmware support were enabled through a USB-C port, which was relatively uncommon in devices of this size at the time. Battery access was provided from the base via a mechanically secured cover.
- Single 18650 battery configuration (cell not included)
- Maximum output power: up to 75W
- Variable wattage / power mode operation
- 0.96-inch OLED display
- USB-C charging interface
- Standardised 510 connection
Compatibility and Form Factor
The Nautilus GT tank was produced in 22 mm and 24 mm diameter versions. Combined with a standard 510 connection, this allowed compatibility with a wide range of regulated mods available during the same market period. The Glint Mod itself supported atomisers up to approximately 25 mm without overhang.
Operational Notes
This product did not include a battery cell or e-liquid. Devices were shipped in a powered-off state and required five rapid button presses to activate. Coil replacement required removal of the tank base and manual installation of a new coil unit prior to reassembly.
