Uwell Coil Heads – Original Replacement Coils
Uwell replacement coil heads are platform-specific components designed for Crown tanks and Caliburn pod systems. Selecting the correct resistance (Ω) ensures stable wicking behaviour, controlled airflow performance and consistent vapour output.
Lower resistance mesh coils are typically paired with higher VG liquids for RDL/DTL use, while 1.0Ω+ options are optimised for classic MTL configurations using balanced 50/50 e-liquids and nicotine salts.
Products are intended for adult users (18+) in Ireland.

Quick Compatibility Guide
- Caliburn G / G2 Series: Compatible with Caliburn G, G2, Koko Prime, and Tenet.
- Caliburn G3 / GK3: Newer G3 platforms typically use integrated pod structures rather than separate replaceable coil heads.
- Caliburn A-Series: A2 / AK2 systems use integrated pod coils (full pod replacement).
- Crown & Whirl Series: For Crown 4, Crown 5, and Whirl S2 tanks.
Warning: Caliburn A-series (integrated pods) and G-series (replaceable coils) are NOT cross-compatible. Please verify whether your device requires a full pod or a replacement coil before purchase.
Resistance & Heating Element Matrix
| Resistance (Ω) | Inhale Style | Recommended VG/PG | Heating Element Type | Thermal Behaviour |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.2Ω – 0.4Ω | DTL | 70/30 VG/PG | Mesh | Fast ramp-up, dense vapour output |
| 0.6Ω – 0.9Ω | RDL / Restricted DTL | 50/50 – 60/40 | Mesh | Balanced heat distribution |
| 1.0Ω – 1.2Ω | Classic MTL | 50/50 | Kanthal / Wire | Lower thermal load, controlled output |
Pro-FOCS Flavor Technology
Pro-FOCS Flavor Technology: Uwell’s proprietary system recycles drawn airflow through the atomizer core to condense flavor and maintain heating consistency. This airflow circulation design aims to enhance flavour density while stabilising temperature distribution across the heating surface.
Material Transparency & Coil Architecture
Mesh Heating Structure: Increased surface contact between heating element and liquid supports even vaporisation and reduced hot spots.
Kanthal (FeCrAl Alloy): Designed for wattage mode operation with stable resistance performance.
Stainless Steel (SS316L): Compatible with temperature control (TC) where supported by device firmware.
Ni80 (Nickel-Chromium Alloy): Rapid heating response. Users with nickel sensitivity should verify material compatibility prior to use.
Uwell Authenticity & Distribution
Original Uwell coil heads are supplied through authorised distribution channels and may include holographic scratch-codes for authenticity verification. Purchasing genuine components ensures correct resistance tolerances, proper fitment and compliance with EU product standards.
Liquid Composition & Coil Longevity
High-VG and heavily sweetened liquids may accelerate residue formation on the heating surface. Matching resistance level with appropriate VG/PG ratios supports consistent wicking performance and predictable lifespan.
Ireland Climate & Responsible Disposal
In cooler Irish ambient conditions, higher VG liquids increase in viscosity, potentially slowing capillary flow in tighter MTL configurations. Maintaining devices at room temperature supports stable operation.
Used coil heads contain metal components and residual e-liquid. In Ireland, disposal should follow appropriate WEEE or metal recycling channels rather than general household waste.
Technical FAQ – Maintenance & Compatibility
Why does a 1.2Ω coil burn with 70VG liquid?
Higher viscosity liquids may exceed the capillary intake capacity of tighter resistance coils. 50/50 formulations are generally more suitable for MTL resistances.
Are Caliburn G coils compatible with A2 pods?
No. Caliburn G-series coils are replaceable coil heads, while A2 systems use integrated pod-based coils.
How long should I prime a new Uwell coil?
Allow 5–10 minutes after filling to ensure full saturation before activation. Start at the lower recommended wattage range and increase gradually.
