eGo batteries operate as sealed lithium-ion power units with integrated regulation and charging circuitry. Unlike removable cylindrical formats, these systems combine the battery cell and control board within a single housing.

Voltage output and protection behaviour are managed internally by the onboard chipset. Overcharge protection, discharge monitoring and short-circuit safeguards are predefined by the manufacturer and are not user-adjustable.
