Age Verification Policy
Age Verification Policy
eliquids.ie operates in full compliance with Irish law. This policy explains how we ensure that vaping products are sold only to adults aged 18 or over.
Legal Age Requirement in Ireland
Under the Public Health (Tobacco and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act, it is illegal to sell electronic cigarettes, vaping devices, e-liquids (with or without nicotine), or related products to anyone under the age of 18 in Ireland.
For official legislative reference, see the Irish Statute Book: Public Health (Tobacco and Nicotine Inhaling Products) legislation.
Additional public guidance is available via Citizens Information Ireland.
Online purchases of vaping products in Ireland require age verification as a matter of law.
How Age Verification Works
To comply with Irish regulations, age verification may take place at different stages of the ordering process.
At Checkout
- Confirmation that you are at least 18 years old
- Order review as part of compliance procedures
- Secure third-party age verification (where required) using GDPR-compliant systems
Most orders are processed without additional documentation.
Age Verification at Delivery
In line with Irish law and courier policies, proof of age may be requested at delivery to ensure that products are handed only to an adult.
Accepted forms of identification may include:
- Passport
- Irish or EU driving licence
- Official national identity card
If no adult is available to accept delivery, the parcel may be held for collection with valid identification.
Failure of Age Verification
- The order will not be delivered
- The order may be cancelled
- Refunds will be processed in accordance with the Returns Policy
Data Protection
Age verification processes are conducted in accordance with GDPR and Irish data protection law. Identity documents are not stored unless legally required. Verification is used solely to confirm age eligibility.
Customer Responsibility
Customers must provide accurate information when placing an order. Providing false details or attempting to bypass age verification may result in order cancellation or account restriction.
Policy Updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in Irish legislation or regulatory guidance. The current version will always be available on this page.
